A diverse group of presenters (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, nurses, anthropologists, and consumer advocates) will review a variety of topics related to behavioral health issues of children, adolescents and their families. Special attention will be given to psychopharmacology, psychotherapeutic intervention, assessment and diagnosis, substance abuse, classroom management, and the development of community resources. Each session will involve a concise presentation of the topic at hand with ample opportunities for case discussion and consultation.
Providers working in primary care and schools as well as behavioral health agencies are urged to connect, and will receive continuing education credit for their participation. This year we will be offering 60 minutes teleconferences on the first Wednesday, second Tuesday, third Wednesday, and fourth Thursday of each month from 12:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Dr. Avi Kriechman will also be offering opportunities for general case consultation on a regular basis. These sessions will be specified in the monthly announcements.
New this year: most teleconferences will be offered via telephone and Adobe Connect. Please follow the instructions provided on the monthly announcements to connect in the way you choose.
All sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes and begin at noon on each day. There are two ways to connect.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of New Mexico Office of Continuing Medical Education and the UNM Center for Rural & Community Behavioral Health. The UNM Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physician.
The Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Important Note: CME credits are accepted by the NM Psychology Examiners Board and the NM Nursing Board.

This activity has been approved to provide Continuing Education Units (CEU) by NM Counseling & Therapy Board through Dr. Avron Kriechman at the UNM Center for Rural & Community Behavioral Health.
