approx. 4 hours each week for 12 months
Required
Fellows are required to produce a scholarly presentation or paper worthy of publication during the year. The publishable papers should reflect a deep interest in a specific domain of psychosomatic medicine.
Examples of such activity could include:
- a case series of pseudoseizure patients treated with short-term dynamic psychotherapy
- a review of psychiatric symptomatology in dialysis patients
- a prospective study of cognitive impairment following cardioversion for atrial fibrillation
Fellows receive mentorship and guidance regarding preparation of these manuscripts, research methodologies, and application for funding of research projects as part of their weekly supervision with teaching faculty.
The scholarly presentations or papers are presented in the multidisciplinary psychosomatic medicine didactic.
