Multidisciplinary Didactic

30 minutes each month for 12 months

A topic in psychosomatic medicine relevant to the current patient census is reviewed briefly by the attending psychiatrist, fellow, or PGY2 core residency rotator on service for the purposes of educating the multidisciplinary team, including clinical nurse specialists, social workers, psychologists, counselors, and trainees. Specific topics are determined by the clinical features of the patient population being followed at the time. Recent examples include etiologies of self-mutilation, relaxation techniques and hypnosis, and types of dementia.
