Our Programs

IDEAS in Psychiatry is dedicated to changing the conversation about mental illness in our community. In order to do that, people must have accurate and useful information. We use a two-pronged approach to addressing this critical need:

Professional Development In order to provide the best care possible, healthcare professionals and first responders also need the tools to understand and effectively interact with people with psychiatric illnesses. That's why we've invited our "We Need to Talk" speakers to provide specialized workshops, seminars and Grand Rounds to these important workers within our UNM Health Sciences Center and our broader New Mexico communities.
