Dr. Lane’s research has centered on better understanding medical resident attitudes and perceptions regarding clinical evaluation of decision-making capacity in inpatient settings. Since beginning her project in her 3rd year of residency, Dr. Lane has secured funding, gained IRB approval, and is in process of recruiting and interviewing subjects.
Dr. Lane’s interest in the evaluation of decision-making capacity will serve her well as she continues her studies this fall with a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical School.
