Grand Rounds Focus on Anterior Limbic Network and Bipolar Disorder

Stephen M. Strakowski, M.D., Senior Associate Dean for Research and Vice President for Research at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, presents, “A Metabolic Anterior Limbic Model of Bipolar Disorder,” at this week’s Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds. Dr. Strakowski is also the Dr. Stanley & Mickey Kaplan Professor & Chairman of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, at the University of Cincinnati COM.

Objectives: 
At the end of this presentation the audience will be able to:
1. Learn the role of the anterior limbic network in emotional modulation
2. Learn recent neuroimaging results defining bipolar neurophysiology
3. Learn how dysfunction within the anterior limbic network underlies bipolar disorder.

All psychiatrists, other physicians, fellows, psychiatric residents, medical students and
behavioral health providers are welcome to attend. Admission is free.
