Cynthia Geppert, M.D., Ph.D. , presents, “The 2011 Psychiatric Times Ethics Survey: The Moral Struggles of Contemporary Psychiatrists.” Dr. Geppert, a leader in bioethics, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and an attending psychiatrist the New Mexico Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Objectives: 
At the end of this presentation the audience will be able to:
1. Describe the results of the 2011 Psychiatric Times Ethics Survey
2. Give examples of common ethical and legal dilemmas encountered in psychiatric practice
3. Analyze potential approaches to resolving these common ethical dilemmas

All psychiatrists, other physicians, fellows, psychiatric residents, medical students and
behavioral health providers are welcome to attend. Admission is free.
