Congratulations to Dr. Annette Crisanti who received recognition in a recent PCORI blog. The post, “Patient-Centered Outcomes Research from A(lbuquerque) to Z(uni),” is written by PCORI Engagement team Program Associate Celeste Brown, MHP. It emphasizes the power of research partnerships such as Dr. Crisanti’s work with INSIDE OUT, a peer-run organization in Espanola NM. INSIDE OUT was formed by people in recovery from addictions and provides services to other individuals with substance abuse problems. The research partnership is evaluating peer-led treatment for PTSD and substance abuse as compared with the traditional clinician-led treatment.
Readers can also view a brief video of Kathy Sutherland-Bruaw, Founder of INSIDE OUT, and Dr. Crisanti, in the section titled “C is for Creating a Partnership.”
