Rachel Yehuda, PhD, presents Intergenerational Effects of Trauma.Yehuda is Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience, Director of the Traumatic Stress Studies Division, Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Yehuda is a recognized leader in the field of traumatic stress studies. Her research on cortisol and brain function has revolutionized the understanding and treatment of PTSD worldwide.

OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this presentation the audience will be able to:
1. understand biological mechanisms associated with epigenetics, including preconception, in utero, and postnatal influences;
2. understand biological mechanisms associated with intergenerational transmission and risk for psychopathology in offspring.

All psychiatrists, other physicians, fellows, residents, medical students and behavioral health providers  -- as well as members of the public -- are welcome to attend. Admission is free.
