John Rush, MD, Professor Emeritus, Duke-National University of Singapore (Duke-NUS), Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Duke University Medical School, NC and Adjunct Clinical Professor, Dept. of Psychiatry, Texas Tech Health Science Center, Permian Basin, TX will be our guest speaker for Grand Rounds, next Friday, Nov. 16. You are invited to join him for lunch prior to his Grand Rounds presentation, which is titled, “Measurement-Based Care For Depression and Beyond.”

Dr. Rush’s Biosketch:
Dr. Rush is Professor Emeritus, Duke-National University of Singapore (Duke-NUS), Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Duke University Medical School, NC and Adjunct Clinical Professor, Dept. of Psychiatry, Texas Tech Health Science Center, Permian Basin, TX. He is CEO of Curbstone Consultant LLC, which provides career, research design and organizational consultation to individuals, as well as academic, governmental and commercial organizations.
 
His 45-year academic career has focused on the psychology and biology of mood disorders. His work has led to the development and evaluation of innovative treatments (medications, somatic treatments, psychotherapy), disease management protocols and clinical tools to improve early detection and care for persons with mood disorders and their families. Dr. Rush is an author of over 800 professional publications, and recipient of numerous awards. He was recognized as one of the “World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds” by Thomson Reuters (2014).
